Gifts to the godparents yes or no?
My baby's christening is in a month and I was told that I should buy a gift for the godfather and godmother.
Is this something that is done? If so, what did gifts did you purchase for them?

I am godmother to my niece and at Emma's christening my sister bought me an engraved godmother picture frame. PLus, later on she have me a beautiful engraved godmother bracelet that says love emma. Typically I think the godparents are given a gift.

We didn't buy gifts for the godparents since both DH & I were godparents more than once and never received any gifts.

i just gave the babies godparents (since there were 4 of them) a picture frame with there pics...

We bought DS's godfather a bracelet...I regret spending what we did but kind of felt forced.

We didn't but ours was BIL and SIL - they didn't give anything to DH when he was godparent to one of their daughters.
If you want to give something - how about a nice framed picture of your child
