At first I was going to write to just politely decline. BUT I realized, your friend is rude and obnoxious! Tell her exactly why you are not coming! She needs to be called out on her crap.

I agree. She has acted extremely insensitive particularly with your life events coinciding with her parties.

You've had a very difficult year. You don't need her as a friend. If you have it in you to say "I'm not going & this is why...", then do it. If not, I'm not even sure if I would bother RSVP'ing. I think I'd be too pizzed off.

Okay Sharon-
Don't you know you are only allowed to go to Pampered Chef parties at my house. Only at my house can you also see Big Hair Videos. Seriously I wouldn't even respond to her invites anymore.

That was the best!! You had to see Deb back in the day! Her belching skills were top notch!Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon (Deb broke out a home video of her and some friends from back in high school!).

I know you don't invite me over to buy stuff, basically because you know I don't have a dime right now to buy a pack of gumChat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon But you have me over JUST BECAUSE you're my friendChat Icon Chat Icon Not because you might rack up more free crap. I am doing just that. I just chucked it in the garbage and will continue to do so with anymore of her mailings. I could give a rat's behind about her and her husband anymore (and I've been friends with him since high school). I'm not going to even waste the energy to respond.

I cant believe she doesnt invite you to any of her regular celebrations. That's just rude in my opinion. I think you have every right to tell her to cram it. Chat Icon

I could not agree more!

I have a "friend" (and I use that term lightly at this point) who has one of those "Buy some crap at my house parties" LITERALLY every six weeks. I haven't been invited to her home for a non consumer GTG in YEARS! (Didn't get invited to her son's 1st birthday nor her block party). She couldn't be bothered checking on how I was when I went in for surgery but she did remember to add me to her Pampered Chef party list about two weeks afterwards!!Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon (At that point, WTH was I going to do with Pampered Chef stuff?!??). Kind of like last month when she discovered I was getting divorced and she sent me her "Exotic Toy Party" invite!!Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Now I have yet ANOTHER invite to her house to decline - this time, jewelry! I don't mind attending these parties once in awhile (I just went to one at Deb's houseChat Icon ), yet the constant shakedown is too much. Would I be totally justified in telling her to shove her invites since she can't be my friend unless I'm willing to buy crap at her house?!?Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon

Do we have the same friend? LOL

I really just call and invite you to show off my belching skills. I have to admit, my hair did look good back in the day. I miss my perm days. Seriously, it wouldn't be a party at my house withou you Sharon. When I plan one of my infamous parties, my family always asks... is Sharon and Amber coming?

Re: Gimme a break!!! Another freakin' home party?!?

Ughhh, I hate the party-holic friends, and then the ones who are doing it because someone BEGGED them to and nowYOU have to go buy some WAYYYY Overpriced crap because you feel bad ??????

Ive stopped responding to one repeat offender in my email box Chat Icon I treat it like junk mail Chat Icon DELETE DELETE Chat Icon

Will someone come up with a legitimate party where things are not ridiculously overpriced?? even the fake handbags were a joke!

A couple of yrs ago, a mom I had met (I had known her a few months, part of a playgroup together) BEGGGGED me to have a party at my house... I was kinda like Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon I REALLLLY didnt want to. so she begged and was like "come onnnnn, all I need is your stove, i will do the rest Chat Icon "
So she leaves me a message a few days before saying she had to give me my shopping list Chat Icon Chat Icon
SHOPPING LIST ????
what happened to the stove and nothing else? I Was going to have to spend money to host people at my house for HER convenience?
So I confronted her on her little attempt to sneak that crap in "your shopping list"... and she acted like she said it from the beginning. I Told her I didnt appreciate her dishonesty and I cancelled the party that second.
ya DONT mess wth me Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon

I HATE when people lie and manipulate to make a few bucks. Doesnt work with me.

Sorry for the tangent Sharon, I meant to side with you here Chat Icon
Good for you for not even responding, Im sure she'll get the hint. SHe doesnt deserve your time! Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon
