So for dd we did antique white furniture from Bellini, lavender walls and grey carpet. I love her room!
No clue where to go for dd2's furniture or what colors. I'm not really a pink person, but can't do lavender again which is my favorite.
Maybe a pale pink with cream and sage?
Where did you get your furniture? Your bedding? Have a pic? What colors for wall/carpet?
Tx girls

My dd's big girl room has pink walls and cream carpet. Furniture is very light grey. Bedding is pink and white.
Eta - we kept the nursery as is when dd2 was born and moved dd1 into a new room. No way I was buying another crib.

Re: Girl nurseries
Sorry can't help, mines going to be vivid pink. I wanted bright colors and not pale because kids are drawn to bright colors. I actually wanted red and pink, but couldn't find a bedding set I liked, so I ended up with vivid shades of pink. I'm using Lambs and Ivy Raspberry Swirl.
This is the room so far

We are doing gray walls (medium grey), white furniture with pink and aqua bedding and accents.

Re: Girl nurseries
our DD is lavender with grey furniture also, the bedding and area rug has touches of pink and blues as well.
Best advice I got was that girls get SO much pink don't make her room too pink and I am glad I listened.
Maybe a light blue with pink and purple accents?

Re: Girl nurseries
I don't like any of the pastel pink themes, I'm more for bright out of the box colors. The walls will be all tan with an accent wall of blue like this pic... with this same bedding set... With an espresso colored crib. Can't post the pic, I'll add to album...

Tx girls. Think I'm going with grey carpet, pale pink walls (may do one grey accent wall) and antique white furniture.
We already have brand new grey carpet in that room so that's not changing.

If you don't like pink, what about doing shades of orange? Coral and navy blue look really nice together, or you can do a sherbety orange with gray.

I'm doing yellow and gray with doses of pink like a paper mâché zebra head with pink stripes and a wall decal that has pink in it. Furniture is light gray or white. Wall is a pale to medium yellow and floors have a white sheepskin as well as yellow and gray Flor tiles.

Just something I learned in both my freshmen psych class and my many studio art classes, the reason most people switched to green as the gender neutral color is that they have done studies showing that yellow is an irritating color, and more apt to make babies cry.
I'm not trying to be argumentative or negate your choices, just trying to help those making color decisions. http://psychology.about.com/od/sensationandperception/a/color_yellow.htm

Currently DD room is hot pink and a softer pink(like the 1/2 and 1/2 pic Michelle posted). I plan on repainting it to lavender and off white (1/2 and 1/2). I'm not sure if we're having a girl or boy(hoping to stay team green this time), but the pink walls are making me nauseous.
