Girls bathing suits/bikinis
Are you supposed to go a few sizes up? My dd is 18 months and wears 18 months clothes BUT there is NO WAY she could fit into an 18 month bathing suit. Even 2t looks really small. I even looked at the 3t's and they look small. ANy advice?

From what I've seen depends on the brand.
Old Navy & Gap are true to size.
Ralph Lauren/Polo run very small.
Maddie is in a 5T ON bathing suit now. The size 5 was swimming on her.

Re: Girls bathing suits/bikinis
MY DD is wearing 18 months clothes. I bought her 24 month bathing suits. They run tight. I want her to be comfortable.
I tried the 18 month ones on her first and thought they wouldn't last the whole summer. They just fit her now. So I bought 24 months. Her suits are from Gymboree.

Re: Girls bathing suits/bikinis
I think they run small. My 7 month old has a 18 month sumsuit that I can't even squeeze her into anymore. My 21 month old has been wearing her 24 month swim suit since she was 12 months old. Its just now getting to small.

Re: Girls bathing suits/bikinis
DDs are wearing all 2T clothing this summer with the exception of swimsuits - they are all 3Ts.
I remember it was such a struggle when I needed to change their diaper last year and their suits were wet and clinging to them - its better to have it a little bigger (also so by Aug/Sept they still fit). HTH!

SO based on the above info... do ya think I should try a 2t or 3t? I will look into gymboree and gap/old navy as suggested.

Emma wears a 12 mos for pants 18 for most tops and I bought her 2t bathing suits which fit perfect. Not too tight at all. I would try the 2t.

Re: Girls bathing suits/bikinis
My DD wore 18 month size last summer and she wore 2T bathing suits. 3T were too big, especially when they get wet. This summer, she is in 3T all around (she just turned 2).

My dd is wearing 24 month clothing but the suits in that size do not seem to fit at all. I bought 2t (or 3t at the childrens place).
