Girls that already have a DC.... (added pic at the bottom)
How closely did your DC resemble what they looked like in later sono's?
I got a high-res sono yesterday and   is quite funky looking!
I know that this may sound vain, and he has plenty of time to "cuten up" - just wondering how true-to-life the pics can be.....

I dont have any DC prior..so sorry for crashing..but on all the sonos i've taken my kid looks like an alien..LOL
my husbands aunt saw one of the pics and she was like "that kid will look just like chris b/c thats what his sono pictures looked like." I think she's nuts. and honestly, DH is 32 almost..did they even do sonograms back in 1977??
im sure once you see your baby, you'll laugh at yourself for even thinking this.

Don't let the sono scare you...they look like little aliens. I think the only that may be exact is there profiles and even that is questionable.

Oh my goodness... not only does my DS not look like his sono pictures, but he looks nothing like pictures of when he was an infant!  I look back at pictures from when he was 3 months old and I don't even recognize him!

seeing my DS in sonos, i still couldn't tell what he would look like.
and when they took him out (i had a c-section) my first words in my head were "that's not my son" - he didn't look at ALL like i thought he would.
but they cleaned him up and brought him to me and i can testify that he is the cutest kid in the universe.
and now at almost 11 months he is even cuter!! no joke - he doesn't even look like the same baby.

My DD's pics were pretty scary! Her nose looked like the wicked witch of the east! My DH is Italian and I just thought she got his nose!!!
Well, NOPE- they say- 12 months, 12 different faces for the first year.
My DD went through so many changes and she's got my Mom's Irish nose!! (Thank GOD!)
don't let the sono pics fool you

(I don't have kids yet but this was my experience)
We had one 4D sono and one of them looked just like me as a baby
The other one wouldn't turn so it's her profile and she is fighting because she doesn't want her pic taken so that one looks weird.

DS actually looked a LOT like his 20w and 32w sonos. Then when I had the amnio at 38w (he was born the next day) he looked like the Michelin man DH and I were honestly nervous! When he came out he was so freaking adorable; the super chunky cheeks were what made the amnio sono so odd looking.
The thing to remember is that if one feature looks exceptionally exaggerated (which was our case) it's likely the sound waves playing tricks. If the baby's moving slightly when they 'snap' the sono everything looks a little bigger.
ETA: semi-random but  looks like he/she has the same profile as DS in both the 20w and 32w sonos! It's really weird being able to identify resemblance in the womb!

DS never really looked like his sonos, but his mannerism was the same! In his sonos, he was always snoozing with his hands behind his head and his feet kicked up in the air. Out of the womb, he sleeps the same way- hand behind his head and his knees up!

When I had my level 2, they turned on the 3d/4d for like a minute and the baby looked just like me on the screen, one of the pics they printed for me, a lot of people says she looks like me. I have a growth sono 8/3, I will be 31 wks, I can't wait to see how she has changed since then.

Cute cheeks! I have to say that on the sono's that are like this they look completely different than on 3d/4d...on ours like this on the profile the baby looked like the top lip stuck out way further than the bottom and dh was all concerned, but on 3d you don't see that at all. I don't think you have anything to worry about!
