Girls that gave birth at North Shore Manhasset
Was you hubby able to stay over night with you? Also, if you plan to nurse do they keep they baby in the room with you or just bring the baby back in when it is time for feedings?

went to the tour. Your husband can be with you 24 7, he just has to be wearing his id bracelet. Family memebers are 11am-8pm.
Regarding feeding, you can have the baby with you all the time or you can have the nurses bring the baby when he needs to feed...
In your hospital bag make sure you bring a little sign that states: I am am a breast feeding baby only. that will help. We learned that at lamaze class

Re: Girls that gave birth at North Shore Manhasset
My husband stayed with me the whole time.
The baby was not allowed to stay with us during the night. He could stay with us all day long, but he went back to the nursery at 10:00/10:30 PM and was brought back in to me at 1:00 AM and 4:00 AM for feedings.

DH is allowed to stay over and they let me keep my daughter overnight if I asked them to. But you may want to just have them bring the baby in to nurse during the night so that you can get a couple of hours of sleep at a time. I kept her with me for 2 nights (I was in for 4).

FH was not allowed to stay thorugh the nite unless I had a private room I had a room with 3 other women, and if you want the baby at nite to feed they will bring the baby to you. I wanted my sleep so I just took the baby in the morning and let them feed the baby then again I didn't BF.

Yes DH is allowed to stay with you as long as he has his bracelet on. Although most of the time they don't have the sleeper chair in the room. You just have to ask for one. My DH didn't stay, I figured one of us should get some real rest. The babies are normally with you from approx 8am till around 11pm.
