Girls who are in really good shape who say they are soooo fat.

I was away with family and my uncle's girlfriend's daughters were with us and every time they ate 1 freakin chip they would complain that they were sooooooooo fat. I almost stuffed twinkies down their throats

Personally,I think those comments need to be kept to themselves.

Everyone has their own idea of what weight they are comfortable at.

For example- everyone tells me I am thin...and for all practical purposes I am. However, I know that I don't feel comfortable with myself when my pants get a little snug or I feel a little bloated- but that is MY personal issue. I NEVER go around saying- oh God I am SOOO fat.
To me, that is just plain rude. I am NOT fat- by any stretch. Some days, yes, I might FEEL fat- to ME. But again, that's my own personal feelings.
I find it very insenstive when people do what you describe- and most of the time it's just a cry for attention- they want people to say- are you CRAZY?? You look GREAT!
Next time they do it- just say- oh yeah, I didn't want to say anything, but you do look like you gained some weight!!!

See how quickly they shut their mouths!

I really hate people like that. Honestly I feel like they are just looking for the "you're not fat" comment.

ughhh i hate this... and especially when a skinny person says "im fat" in front of me -- im a little 'round'.. it makes me think... "if you think you are fat, i can only imagine what you think of me!"

Having been everywhere from 25 lbs overweight to underweight, I can tell you that I've never felt "thin".

I look at pictures now of my 105 lb self & think "Wow, I remember thinking how fat I was back then." It's the same horrible feeling, no matter where on the spectrum they are.

They should take into consideration the company they're in, but realize they may not recognize you as overweight. When looking at other people who are heavier than me, I don't think about them & their weight. My concern is the crappy feeling I have about myself. There are plenty of overweight women that are gorgeous, put together & more confident than I ever was. Back when I was thinner, working out & in the best shape of my life, what I really wished for was to feel that way about me.

some people have very skewed body images, no matter how thin they may be to the public.

try to have pity on them
