I'm 14.5wks pregnant with #2...DC will be 3 yrs apart, as planned. I like that Charlie will be starting school and is independent enough to play by herself, get dressed, etc.

Same here but i am 35 weeks now with #2.

I always said 3 years apart and had NO desire to have #2 until DS was about 2yo.
I love how excited DS is about his new baby, and how involved he is in everything.
Its also nice having an independent child who does most everything on his own now. And lets not forget only 1 in diapers!Chat Icon

We also wanted to do stuff with just DS before going back to baby hood! So we have done vacations with DS (including Disney 2x and other things) and although he wont remember it we will never forget those times as a family of 3!

DS was born when I was 28yo (turned 29 a month later) and we knew we only wanted 2 kids so I also wanted to space them for that reason...I couldnt imagine being 30 and saying my family is 100% complete. Now at 32 I am ready for that moment!

Re: Girls who are planning their next baby

My original plan was to wait until Kaydyn was a little over 2 to start trying for #2. Well I unexpectedly got pg when Kaydn was 17 months and DD#2 was born a month and a half after Kaydyn's 2nd birthday.

I am 35. DH is going to be 40. I don't want to wait. I am completely enjoying my boys, but I'm not getting any younger. Chat Icon

Re: Girls who are planning their next baby

I would like to start trying when our DD is 1 1/2. I want them close in age and I want a spring/summer baby next time. I will also be 34 and DH 37 so I dont want to wait to long in between.

Hey Jen, Congrats on the baby!! It's Alicia (afuturebride) 09 bride from LIW weddings, don't know if you remember me or not!

We also want to have our kids close in age and want to be young parents as well. I will be 30 this year, and DD will be 1. Maybe try to conceive end of 2011 or beginning of 2012.

But all of this is dependent on buying a house next year. I do not want to still be living in an apartment when DC #2 comes. We plan to buy next year.

DD is 3.5 months. I turned 35 in January and DH will be 42 in August. We will start trying next fall. Chat Icon All I know is I want two but my DD is not easy. I figure I might as well just not come up for air and drudge through it. The thought is very scary right now...but hopefully by Sept I will be ready to go!

Re: Girls who are planning their next baby

I think when DD goes off to college I will be ready to start considering our 2nd.

Oh...
Wait....

Guess that won't work out too well - unless medical technology comes a long way in the next 18 years! Chat Icon

I am in the exact same situation. DD was born a month before I turned 32 and DH is 35.

we are thinking of trying this summer once DD turns 1 so that our kids are close in age. We want 3 or 4 kids and I prefer to be in my 30s for all of them. It took us 1 1/2 years to get pregnant so I want to try sooner rather than laterJ inust case it takes a while again....

Re: Girls who are planning their next baby

Our plan was to start trying when DD was almost 1. Instead, we have them 13 months apart and wouldn't have it any other way.

While we are planning on another one $$ permitting, we are waiting till the youngest is closer to 2. She's only 8 months now so we have a little over a year before we start trying again.

DS will be 1 in two weeks. I'd like to TTC this summer so that the kids will be 2.5 yrs apart. Thinking about it kinda freaks me out since I have no idea how I will juggle it all, but that is the plan for now

Re: Girls who are planning their next baby

DH & I both wanted another baby before I hit 30 & before he turns 35. but then the thought of labor is horrible and is stopping me. Also, we wanted to spend & give her as much time as possible with DD before trying to have another DC. Probably will try when DD turns 2.

Re: Girls who are planning their next baby

Jack and Tyler were just over two years apart. I loved that spacing.

Now that I was just pregnant I saw how Tyler really is still a baby (even though he was only two months younger than Jack was at the age we got pregnant)

I think we will wait to have a baby when Tyler is around 2.5 this time. We'll see though - it's out of my hands obviously Chat Icon Chat Icon
