Girls who did the 3-hour glucose - fasting question

So, my nurse told me to start fasting after dinner tonight. I have an appointment at 8:30 tomorrow. At first she said 8 hours, then she said, "just play it safe and start fasting after dinner." I feel like I'm going to be starving in 12 hours, and even more so in 15! How long did you fast for before your test? Were you allowed to drink water? She didn't say anything either way, but I would imagine water would be fine.

ETA: Also, I usually take my prenatal and a baby aspirin before bed...should I not take them? I wish I thought to call and ask earlier today. I guess I can just take them now. The test is still over 11 hours away.

I had my last bite to eat at 730 the night before - my test was scheduled for 8:00 am.

I brought a granola bar and some crackers to eat the second I walked out of there. I was starving.

Im going Monday and was told to not eat after 10-11. My appt is at 8

I fasted for 12 hours..thats what they told me to do

I was told not to eat past 10:00 the night before. My appt was for 7 or 8 the next morning.

Thanks ladies. I'm done eating for awhile now, but what about water? Were you allowed to have any?
