Re: girls who do not know the sex

We painted the room a really light grey-ish purple blue. I got white furniture. For a boy we are going to do navy and yellow accents and for a girl we are going to do a punchy coral pink and yellow accents. I have bedding picked out in both schemes that I will just order after I deliver. I didn't want a typical gender neutral room.

Re: girls who do not know the sex

We painted the room green, have natural colored furniture and picked out a super cute bedding set that has a bunch of colors in it..we are not really pink and blue types, so this works...

Re: girls who do not know the sex

For Chloe's room we did it very mod - walls were tangerine, beige and chocolate brown. Once we found out she was a girl we added a girly rug, pink accents. Furniture is a combo of white/espresso wood. Bedding was plain - polka dots/stripes

for this baby, we are doing grey walls with yellow accents. Furniture will be white. we'll wait for a rug when the baby is born again.

Re: girls who do not know the sex

We painted the room BM Lenox Tan so it will go with whatever theme we end up with. If we end up with a boy, we're doing a firetruck theme (my DHs a firefighter). If it's a girl, we're going to stick with the original gender neutral theme we were going with, which is the mod monkey theme at BRU. All of the accents (hamper, changing pad cover, glider, etc) will be brown since it's in both bedding sets and then we'll get the bedding set and some accessories for whichever gender we have.

Re: girls who do not know the sex

im going with a very serene, nature-feel.
if possible im going to paint the walls a sagey green and do a tree decal of some sort. here are some of my inspiration pics and a pic of the bedding im hoping for.
if we end up having a Chat Icon we'll add lavender accents, otherwise we'll probably leave it the neutrals.

Re: girls who do not know the sex

We are team Chat Icon but I already have our girl bedding. I entered a contest on Project Nursery and won this set from Caden Lane

Since it has tan and brown accents, I plan on using those as a base and if we have a Chat Icon we'll get bedding after the fact with brown/tan undertones, something like this.

Re: girls who do not know the sex

I do know the sex, but we wanted a neutral room and actually did it before we found out the sex.

We painted the a light sage green, with espresso colored furniture, and the bedding we got is Bunny Meadows, which is all browns and greens. I posted an album of the nursery - the pics are too large to put here.

Re: girls who do not know the sex

We are team Chat Icon and were with DD so from just going through this, the room does not need to be done right away, she slept with us for 3 months ( in bassinet) & we did her room then, we will do the same with the new baby!

We had picked out colors before hand & it worked out perfect that way! There is also a BM paint that is a little more money but no fumes in it so safe to paint with you and baby around!

Re: girls who do not know the sex

I don't know the sex of my twins. We painted the room a light yellow and we have white furniture. I couldn't find neutral bedding that I liked so I picked out boy bedding, girl bedding and a bedding that has coordinating bedding for a girl and a boy. I emailed the links to my mom and she will order the appropriate bedding when they are born. I would like it to be done before they are born....but they are going to be in our room for a while when they come home.

Re: girls who do not know the sex

I am going to find out the sex but I am not a fan of themes and gender specific items anyways.

This is my nursery inspiration photo

Re: girls who do not know the sex

we registered for 2 different beddings, a boy one and a girl one, and we will do the walls a neutral color to match both, which is going to be a beige color...
prob this color..its kinda blah, but i think with the bedding to match it will look great

Re: girls who do not know the sex

Team green for the 3rd time.

For my first pregnancy we did a gender neutral room which I used for the 2nd child as well. We did a sage green bottom and pale butter yellow on top and teddy bear themed room.

Now with tthis one - it should be my last child. We are doing construction and adding a new room for the nursery so am gong to go gender specific this time...plus I am bored with the orginal gender neutral room and since most of it is 6 yrs old and been thru 2 boys - it has seen better days. I picked a girl and boy bedding and all the ones I loved had brown so I painted the room a light beigey brown on top and a richer chocolate brown on botton. Will add color once baby is born with bedding and accessories and decorations. My MIL and mom offered to buy the bedding so once we know boy or girl they will order. Most likely the construction won't be done by the time baby is born so baby room won't be finished until later on anyway.
