Girls who saw an RE
I was just released from my RE today ( ) and am not seeing my OB for another two weeks. I am so used to be monitored SO closely at my RE, that waiting two weeks to see the OB scares me! I can't help but worry about not being monitored closely for the next two weeks and that something could go wrong. I know I'll have to get used to it since it's the norm, but how did you manage at first?

You just have to. After a while, you get used to it. I am at the point now where I stop asking questions that will invariably drive me nuts. I dont even ask for sonograms and heartrates until and unless the doctor gives me a reason to. My OB says "perfectly strong heartbeat" and that is good enough for me. I would otherwise obsess and that isnt healthy for me or the baby. It gets easier- I promise!

Thank you! I know it will get easier, but I guess the initital transition is a little more difficult than I expected...

Re: Girls who saw an RE
Being with the RE for 9 months, the transition was very hard for me. My RE released me at 8 weeks, and I didn't have my first OB appointment until I was 10 weeks. To top it off, they don't do sono's in my OB's office and I didn't have my next sono until 12 weeks. 4 weeks without a sono OR hearing the heartbeat was so stressful for me. You will get used to it and be more comfortable with it!

We get "spoiled" being monitored so closely by an RE, that the change is defiintely difficult to get used to.

Re: Girls who saw an RE
my OB is very sensitive to IVF gals and told me at our 1st visit that I could feel free to come in whenever I needed to.
I did schedule an extra visit when the RE just told me to stop taking my meds (PIO and suppositories) and that I was done with them so I did go visit my OB a few days later to make sure I was still doing ok off the meds, which I was
but I've been ok with regular visits since that time

Re: Girls who saw an RE
i was with RE up to my 9 week of pregnancy. It was so hard to see my OB 2 weeks after. With all the testing slipped in between visits it starts to make the transition easier. I think once we feel the baby the monthly visits wont be so bad. Were here to keep you calm between visits.
