Girls who see Dr. Kofinas ETA another ?
I will be seeing him when I am released from the RE in 2 weeks. How does it work do you see him your entire pg? Do you have to see the Ob too? Does he release you to the ob at some point? Thanks!!
ETA whats his take on the H1N1 vax?

You see him every two weeks for the pregnancy. You also see an OB who will deliver the baby. The OB seems basically superfluous during the pregnancy as Kofinas is the one making all of the decisions regarding the baby and your health. He is absolutely excellent.

Same as above.
sometimes you see Koffinas- sometimes you see the techs- and if all is normal- you go an appointment w/o seeing Koffinas..
He's amazing- a GREAT doctor!

I am a patient of Dr.K (LOVE him-the whole practice is great). I see Dr. Cafaro at University Plaza as my OB. Dr. K will be monitoring you throughout the entire PG. Sono's, genetic testing, etc. I go every other week. If you have any questions about your pg, concerns or if God forbid you think something is wrong you call Dr. K's office. Basically your OB just delivers you. You will probably go every 4 weeks to your OB just to check in. They won't be doing any sono's or genetic testing. I'm 19 weeks now so I can give you any info you might want. Also, I noticed from an earlier post that you were on prednisone (nightmare!) and intrelipids. I was going to FM you to see how you were doing on the prednisone.
ETA: Dr. K's office does fax all of your results, notes, etc to your OB so they are informed and kept in the loop.

my OB is even having Dr. K do the NT scan at 12 weeks..

Dr. K will pretty much do everything- NT scan, anatomy scan, all genetic testing.... your OB will basically only see the reports, monitor your weight gain and any possible protein in your urine.

Thanks girls!!! I feel totally comfortable about the pg seeing him. In addition to the IF trouble I have had, my DD was born 6 weeks early and now I feel confident he will do everything possible to avoid that this time!

i am wondering what his take is on the shots as well..
i see him again on monday and was going to ask him.
my OB wants me to get both..and highly recomends them..it freaked me out and now im scared.

I called up and asked the gals what Dr. K's take was and basically they said I could ask him again, but if he was deferring to the OB.
I go to PIlliterri and they're friendly- Dr K trained Pilliterri.. so I think they're probably both on the same boat.
With that said- I've yet to hear if Dr P has any flu shots.
