Girls who've had their hair straightened...
Have you ever heard that you can't use shampoos with sulfates in them if you have had JHS? I just heard this from someone today at work and was wondering if it's true. If it is true, what's the reasoning behind it? TIA!

I thought i heard the same but someone on here said it was if you had Brazilian.
Anyway, sulfates in shampoos make you lose your color quicker (if you dye) so I assume it breaks down the chemicals in the other treatment as well.

Oh, ok. I never knew sulfates did that to color! Good to know. Thanks for the info!

I used to use the expensive shampoo they sold at the salon- when JHS first came out
but now I use regular $3 a bottle whatever is on sale- and my hair is fine
I do use conditioner for dry hair- for extra mositure

when I got the brazilian done I was told nothing with sodium chloride in it (different than shampoos labeled as sulfate free). There are a fair amount of natural brands out there that aren't too expensive that are pretty good too
