Glass for Tabletop!

Does anyone know where I can get a custom glass tabletop? We spent a lot of money on our dining room set -- we viewed it as an investment and plan to have this table for a loooooong time. We don't have an eat in kitchen, so we eat on it everyday. I would like to protect it and feel that glass would be the easiest to clean!

Any suggestions? Thanks!

Glass for Tabletop!

There's a place in Amityville right off 110 going onto sunrise. A couple of years ago my friend had to replace her glass dining table top and used them.

Well it's pretty heavy since it's 1 big glass slab, but the guy said he would give me 4 non-slip disc pads (about the size of a dime) that go on the corners!

Glass for Tabletop!

How does it work with tables that have a leaf or 2?

We have 2 leaves for our table, but since we use it as our everyday table, I had the glass made for the no leaf size. My rationale was that if we had any leaf in it, that would mean company was over, and we'd have a tablecloth on which would protect the wood. I was going to have custom made table pads but 1) they were $$$$$ and 2) part of the reason we fell in love with this table was because of the gorgeous wood -- I felt table pads would just cover everything up, while the glass still allows us to enjoy the natural wood grain!

Makes sense! Thanks! I'll have to check them out!

Re: Glass for Tabletop!

We had used a place called Aquarius glass in Farmingdale for glass for our dining table.
