Has anyone ever done a tabletop veggie/fruit garden?

I can't plant in the ground because my dog digs everything up. even when I put a fence around it, he somehow tour it apart

I was thinking about making a tabletop garden.

Can this be done? Are there vegetables or fruit that can just grow in a pot?

I have seen successful gardeners do it for a "deck" garden. I have been thinking of creating an elevated box myself for lettuce.

Many people do container gardening. Tomatoes, peppers, etc...

i have a garden growing out of the compound containers that spacklers use. i drill some holes in the bottom. last year i grew tomatoes. i have 4 dogs. if they go near them then i pick up the containers and put them on milk crates. my parents put them on their old picnic table so the dogs don't get to the plants.

yes.
I only have a patio (live in a townhouse) so I garden only in containers.

This is what I usually do:

One big container with a tomato plant or two (usually grape tomatoes- I prefer them)

A big container with two types of hot peppers

A big container with basil and parsley

A stacked container with other herbs (mint, rosemary, etc)

A big container with eggplant, another w/ some type of squash
