Global I project ideas... help!
Hi everyone,
I teach Global I (ninth grade) and need help thinking of some project ideas for the first part of the year. I have a great Ren/Ref project that I use for the second part. Any ideas will be helpful, even if you haven't used them yet! I would like it to be something "all encompasing," and the only thing I can come up with is a wrold religions type thing, which is kind of boring.
HELP!!!

I have my students visit the Metropolitan Museum of Art and do a report about it...they usually choose Ancient Greece, Rome or Egypt...they learn a lot of things without even knowing it!

Here are a couple of corny ideas...
1. A travel brochure on the river valley civs
2. A station lesson on ancient greece
3. A lesson about laws (hammurabi's code) looking at silly laws that exist today
4. Create-a-civilization - students use their knowledge on how geography impacts the development of a civilization and culture to create an imaginary civilization using the 10 cultural universals etc. They make a flag, map and write a paper describing their civilzation.
