Glucose Test Monday and I am freaking out!
So, I sucked it up and made the appointment for the 1 hour-I have to go in at 9:20 to drink that nasty drink and blood at 10:20 
I am begging DH to take me because I have bad memories of this when I was 16-I had the 3 hour and I was so dizzy and sick! And I detest that drink!
They said I don't have to fast before I get there, but if I eat anything, it will be pure protein! I am not going to want to take that again, especially because I am known in that office as the patient with the worst veins that are impossible to draw from!
Please send passing vibes!

try to stay away from sweats and soda and sugary stuff the day or two before. My sis-in-law had to take the 3 hour because she failed the 1st test because she drank alot of soda.

try to stay away from sweats and soda and sugary stuff the day or two before. My sis-in-law had to take the 3 hour because she failed the 1st test because she drank alot of soda.
Here are some godd luck vibes
I figured I would do Atkins induction the day before. I hate soda, so that is good, and I guess the only sweets this weekend will be DH's birthday cake!

Awww- good luck.
I feel the same... I am dreading this and going to beg someone to come with me.
I can see myself passing out.
I don't do well with blood being drawn- especially after spiking my sugar with that drink...

Thanks! They took it from my wrist the last time!
yep had that done too its the pits.but its for the baby thats what gets me through the not so pleasant appts

I am doing mine tomorrow again too around the same time. I threw up the other morning. I couldnt keep that orange crap down. I plan on having some eggs before I go so I dont go on an empty stomach!! Good luck!! I will be think of you when I drink mine!!

I'm nervous about mine too, taking it this Friday. My doc actually encouraged me to stay off carbs the day before as well as fast.
I've been doing good all day, but had to have 2 godivas .. oops

Good luck!! I'm having mine done 9:30am Saturday and am NOT looking forward to drinking a nasty sugary drink first thing in the morning....I didn't realize they came in different flavors though!

Ok its not THAT bad. I got a little dizzy from it both pregnancies but bring something with you to distract yourself like really good magazines or something. If you dont feel good, they will let you rest. Its going to be ok, I promise.

I just had mine Monday morning and the drink was actuallly not as bad as I remember from when I was preggo with DS. The trick is to make sure it's cold. It tasted pretty much like orange soda.

Good luck! I know I HATE that test and am so glad I got it over with.
I had to do a 5 hour glucose test when I was younger (HS) and it pretty much traumatized me

I must of had a different drink with DS, I LOVED it lol.
I ate cheerios that morning, and made DH take me to auntie ann's right after the test for a pretzel 
I hope yours goes well, make sure its ice cold it will be easier!

I was offered two flavors one was lemon-lime, i think the other was raspberry or orange, i dont remember, but they were both clear and they told me to refrigerate it. I made DH taste it first lol. It really did taste like flat soda, not too bad
