Glucose Test Today - What is all the commotion about?
I might get some people angry when I say this, but I had the glucose test this morning and I do not understand what the fuss about drinking the liquid is about? It was totally fine, I sat there for an hour, and I left.
Is it the liquid or the waiting that people mostly complain about?

I think a lot of people hate the taste of the drink - I know my bff had a really bad reaction to it when she did the 3 hour - I was fine.

Try drinking that stuff while you have Hyperemesis gravidium, lol. If I didn't have that it would have been fine. I mean it's gross, but if I wasn't so sick I wouldn't have minded it.

Some people react very differently to it than others. It made me really sick, it was hard for me to not immediately throw up.

Like other people have said, many women- even without morning sickness- have a reaction to the liquid and tend to throw up and get dizzy from it. I'm not fond of the ingredients in it but I did it anyway and had no issues at all. Didn't even mind the taste lol

Glucose Test Today - What is all the commotion about?
For me it was fine. The drink was no big deal and I never felt sick afterward or anything. To the PP, yes it's a separate lab test where you drink this liquid, wait an hour, and then they take blood. I think I did it between 24 and 28 weeks or so.

The drink itself wasn't bad, it was my reaction to it that bothered me. I felt hungover, with being nauseous and having a headache. I'm not looking forward to doing the 3 hour test in a week.

I opted out because i have a servere reaction to it the first time around vomitting inbetween passing out. I later found out after the 2 kids i cant eat gluten and thats all i ate while pregnant was bread. Which if your sensitive can mess with your sugar. Im going to try it again this time around im sure it will be fine.
