Re: gnocchi
I usually get the kind they have at Trader Joe's and it's easy to make..boil...you can have it with sauce, basil and cheese (baked) or I do a variation and add spinach and chicken and make a bake with cheese on top...it's delicious

Re: gnocchi
I bought mine in the fresh pasta aisle. Boil 2 mins in salted water.
I have never made them w/ sauce/pesto, just in this soup:
Olive Garden Chicken and Gnocchi Soup – ala Nora 3 small cans Cream of Chicken Soup 3 small cans of water 1 ½ - 2 pound diced cooked chicken 1 bag baby spinach 3 gloves garlic, grated ½ small onion, grated
Cook chicken in seasoned water. I like garlic powder, onion powder and a few shots of Tabasco.
Drain chicken. Add canned soup and 3 cans of water. Stir. Add chicken back. Grate garlic and onion into pot.
When heated, add spinach.
Start cooking Gnocchi to directions. My package said cook 2 minutes in boiling salted water. Mine were frozen, cooked about 3 minutes.
Add gnocchi to soup and serve.
Its a short cut copy-cut version.

Re: gnocchi
small container heavy cream, about 4 oz crumbled gorgonzola, 2 ish tablespons of unsalted butter. melt butter and cheese into heated cream, serve over gnocchi cooked to manufactures suggestion (usually 2 minutes or until they all float to the top of the water)
it's insane. and so easy!

This sounds delish!!! Must try it
I usually buy them from a pasta specialty store (I go to Cassinelli's in Astoria - they make great fresh pasta) & toss with a pesto sauce.
