being jewish we don't really have G-d parents but i asked 1 couple to raise my twins in the even my husband and i couldn't.

No Godparents here.
We have one couple who are the legal guardians of both DC's. In the event of our mutual deaths we did not want our children separated.

The Godparents are not the ones we chose to raise our kids. All 3 of my kids Godparents are from both sides of the family. (ex:my brother/husbands sister) There role is to make sure we bring our children up in the catholic religion & go to mass.

I am not religious but we had a baby naming ceremony and picked sponsors.
Not only do they each have thier own, but they each have 4 people. It got a bit crazy when we were trying to pick people, most of the people are couples though.
We still can't agree on who will rasie them if something happens to us though.
