Going from regular to Soy Formula
Did anyone have to do this and how did DC respond to it?
DD is fine stomach wise on the regular but she had crazy bad eczema. We tried various creams and eliminating all kinds of things from my diet (I am still also breastfeeding) but nothing seemed to help. The doctor wants us to try soy formula thinking that milk products are the culprit. So I'm also giving that up too.
How did your DCs respond to the soy formula?

We just switched DD to soy about 2 weeks ago because of Eczema. She has been totally fine and her Ped said to just start cold turkey with the soy. No problems so far. DD is 13 weeks old.

We switched from regular formula to soy formula when DD was about 2 weeks old. She had really bad gas, and was crying in pain from the regular formula. Our Dr suggested we switch to soy- so we did- and things are so much better!

We swiched from regular to a soy around 2 months....the first few days we had poops at every diaper change and it was a really weird color...after that, she was totally fine.

I EBF for the first 3 months and then started supplementing with soy formula after that. My DD also has eczema. She has not had any problems with the soy.

Thank you to everyone who responded... Mrsdstowe & Johnsae, did you find that the eczema got better after you switched?
