Spinoff: Soy Formula
Corinne mentioned concerns about soy and infant development so I did a search and I had no idea there was anything to even be concerned about. Brendan is allergic to dairy so I really have no choice but to give him soy formula, but now I'm worried about him drinking it. Am I completely clueless for not even knowing there were potential issues with soy?

Re: Spinoff: Soy Formula
I guess I will join you in being clueless. DD has been on soy formula since about 8 weeks old.

Re: Spinoff: Soy Formula
My dd was on soy formula and now soymilk due to milk allergies. I haven't heard of ANY developmental issues with soy - my dd is a very bright child so I think she turned out okay
I know how you feel - it's upsetting to read/hear about comments like that but what are our choices? When our kids have milk allergies it's obviously tough to find a suitable replacement.
Just so you know, you can look into Dari-Free - it's a potato-based milk product from health food stores. My dd couldn't stand the taste but I've heard it's a good alternative for those not wanting soy.
