Going rate for tutors?
What's the going rate for a tutor? My mom was asked to tutor but she has no idea what to charge. She's a NYC certified teacher. TIA

$50-$60/hour is the average rate from what I've seen (this can vary greatly though.... I've seen people charge $25/hour on the low end while others charge $100+)

i agree about 50-60$ an hour but i think this depends on if your mom is still currently teaching. if shes been outof the field for awhile i would charge less, same for someone with less experience.
