Good apartment buildings?

I have totally had it with my landlord! She doesn't take care of anything. i have had birds in my vents for 2 years and she hasn't done anything. I am really concerned about getting bird mites.

Does anyone know of any really nice apartment buildings? Any place from Huntington traveling west to Great Neck would be great. But i am really open to moving anywhere.

Also, does anyone know of any good websites where i can look for apartments, besides Craig's list and newsday?

heritage house in mineola, owned by musso properties - i lived there for 3 yrs and loved it

We lived in the President Apartments in Mineola for 3 years and it was good, great location as far as travel by car, train to city or even LIRR to airtrain for JFK.

We lived in a heatherwood complex and they were really awesome.

For example, one time a 4 am a sprinkler head blew and was shooting water straight onto our airconditioner making the loudest noise ever. I called maintence and they came and fixed it. At 4 am.

I'm in GNeck but I don't know of rental properties right here in town.

Most of the buildings are co-ops and condos. Probably would have to look online or thru a realtor.

I actually went to look at a heatherwood complex today and I really like it! We will probably end up signing.
