good first appointment today
Hi everyone! I had my first dr's appointment to day. He did do an ultrasound, and couldn't see anything, but said that it was VERY early, that he rarely sees anyone this early, he's guessing I'm only 2 1/2 weeks. He said that everything looked good - I have a very thick lining- and that I should come back in two weeks.
I don't know how many of you read my posts about my dr. being affiliated with a hospital in Staten Island, and I live in Brooklyn and was searching for a new doctor for this reason.... well now, after this appoinmtent, I feel a strange bond to my doctor and don't want to switch, even though I was adamantly opposed to giving birth in Staten Island before.... any opinion on this?
Or, I'll just take some hugs and congrats! 
I am so excited! And still scared... and scared to be excited since it is so new.... we only told my mom and sister so far... I think we are waiting until the next visit to tell anyone else.

First of all congrats!
As for the Dr, I say go w/ who you feel comfortable with...the hospital is just going to be for a couple of days, but the Dr you will be seeing for 9-10 months!
I'm sticking w/ my Dr, he's in LI, and I live in Westchester but this is my first child and I'm so comfortable and trust him so much, for my second I will probably switch, to make the commute easier.
