Good idea/bad idea?
BTDT moms, I need your advice. My gf is expecting multiples soon. Her shower is in a few weeks and it is OOS so I cannot attend. For her gift I was thinking of buying her the diaper bag she registerd for and stocking it with all essentials. Diapers, wipes, disposable diaper bads (for poopy diapers when out and about)
Good idea or bad? Her registery is pretty skimpy and I feel like she needs this stuff more then she needs bath toys and such. Am I being pushy since I already have a child? Like I know more, KWIM? Or is it a good idea.
Also, anything else you can think to add?
TIA

Re: Good idea/bad idea?
I like it!
When my friend had her DS, for her shower I got her a basket of stuff from my DS...all the things he couldnt live without in his first 6 months! She loved it.
I think its nice as alot of first time moms dont know what little things they need that they didnt think of and then after the baby comes they have to run out because they need something they didnt get!
ETA: to add to your list, I woudl get the disposable diaper pads that you can change the baby on and then throw out, the disposable placemats, hand sanitizer, sanitizing wipes, maybe a tin of puffs, paci and paci clip...

i love that idea! it's very thoughtful and i am sure she will love it.
my best gifts at my shower was my infant tub and a laundry basket filled with bath and baby stuff i needed - but hadn't registered for! i use all of it all the time, i was so grateful i didn't have to run out and buy any of it!!

I've purchased that as a gift many times and most of the recipients have loved it.

Re: Good idea/bad idea?
Thanks ladies!
I'm on the fence about it b/c I don't want to be "that mom." You know the one that says you have to use all this stuff.
But I really want to help her out here.

Re: Good idea/bad idea?
Great idea and how about stuffing it with something just for her....like a gift card for a manicure or really great bubble bath.

Re: Good idea/bad idea?
Definitely a good idea. There were so many things I didn't know existed when I registered.

Re: Good idea/bad idea?
The only thing I would stay away from is bath products and lotions. I got tons of Johnson & Johnson stuff at my shower. DS's skin is so sensitive I can't use any of it. And we found out too late to return it.
