Good news/bad news, need advice
The good news is that all the tests came back that I'm not going into labor just yet! (If you missed out on my post yesterday about our flooded apartment, be happy because I was quite perturbed.)
BUT, I'm not sure what to think about them wanting me to come back in on Monday. Nearly a month ago I was rushed to the doctor because I hadn't felt the baby move in a few days, since I had an asthma attack. They said my asthma medication makes babies sleep in utero. They said he was being lazy. Yesterday, during that test where you press a button when you feel the baby move, I only felt him twice. The doctor seemed concerned. I do feel him a lot during the day and watch him move at night. But again, they called him a lazy baby.
Now they want me to come back for more tests on Monday. One of them being that damn movement test again. Should I be concerned that they seem to be concerned? Has anybody had this? Thanks for reading!

Re: Good news/bad news, need advice
Everytime that I was having contractions, they would also have me record his kicks. I am not sure what this means for you, but I just wanted to send you some hugs that everything is fine!

I don't know the answer but I do know that some babies just don't move as much as others, I wouldn't be too concerned. If the fluid and heart rate are fine, then all should be okay.

Re: Good news/bad news, need advice
I had to have them twice a week because my son was small. It annoyed me far more than it concerned me.
Really they are just being cautious...in my case, had they not monitored me so closely and the baby was born with problems, they would've been "at fault" so to speak. This way they could monitor any/all contractions, movement picked up by the monitor and record on paper his heartrate as well. There was 1 particular time the dr. had to "shake" my belly/baby to get him to move so my test didn't look bad that day. Oddly, as soon as she turned off the machine 15 mintues later, he went nuts!

They are just very cautious when it comes to pregnant woman! They are responsible for TWO patients not just for one. I wouldn't be concerned, I would rather tehy be overly cautious than lax when it came to the situation. Feel better!
