GOOD NEWS!! Updated!!!
I was talking about my friend that fell in the lake.
Well, he is still in the hospital. The doctors said that his kidneys are operating at 70% and that if he doesn't get better then he will need a kidney biopsy.
I can't believe that all this happened from swallowing lake water...
Update:
We got a phone call from his girlfriend today. His levels are getting worse. They went from a 4.6 to a 7 and they're supposted to be operating at a 1. His primary care doctor is scaring us and not telling us enough information. The kidney doctor told us that his levels have to get higher and then go down.
He doesn't have to be transfered to Winthrop and have a kidney biopsy...which is a good thing.
We are going to see him later today and we should then find out more information.
He still needs plenty of prayers.
Apparently the lake water is not the cause of his kidney problem. When he was trying to swim, he kept going down in the water, gasping for air. He had a loss of oxygen and was hyperventilating. The loss of oxygen affected the kidney and the loss of function is what is the end result.
**Went to the hospital last night. He is sooo swollen in his face. Levels still haven't changed yet. I'm going today for a few hours while his girlfriend goes to physical therapy.
I was just at the hospital and his kidney doctor came in. The levels are going back to normal and he will be released on friday!!!
