Goody bag for an almost 14 year old?
I'm having a 5th birthday party for DS at my house and I have the goody bags for the different age groups all set (pretty much) but my parents said I should have one for my cousin who will be 14 the month after the party. Really? What the heck could I put in it? Since he likes sports, I was thinking baseball cards and a few packages of Big League Chewing gum (if they still make that). Any ideas?

Goody bag for an almost 14 year old?
My DD is 13 and she still enjoys getting something little at parties, but she wouldn't be upset if she didn't get anything. Maybe you can put in some candy/gum (if he doesn't have braces) and a handball?

For teens that attend my kids' birthday parties I've done water bottles and edible favors (cupcakes, cookies) in the past. This year they're getting pencil pouches with some school supplies and USB keys (bought them fairly cheap off of ebay).

A gift bag for a 14 year old boy is HARD. I'd go mostly edible for him.

Edible is fine. FTR, I don't think they need one. I think a 14 year old should understand he's not a little kid. If you denied him cake, then I'd say you were wrong.

I don't think he needs a goody bag- but what did you put in the bags for the little ones? I would just do a bigger version of theirs if it was all candy. I like the big chew idea. I say stick to edible.

Honestly, I wouldn't have a goody bag prepared for a 14 yr old........to me, that's way past the goody bag age. lol. I know when I was that age it would've never occurred to me to expect one or even want one.
