Gossip Girl, who watched it tonight?!
I thought it was sooooo good tonight! So Lily and Rufus have/had a baby together?!! What do you think happened to this baby, adoption/abortion or some kind of tradegy? I was so rooting for a Chuck/Blair reunion.

I kind of saw it coming at the beginning of the episode... however, I do want to know what became of the baby! I have a feeling that the baby was put up for adoption, though, and that he/she will wind up back in the picture.

Chuck broke my heart last night when Blair found him on her bed, he just looked so lost and sad.
but of course it looks like he'll be the same old Chuck very soon.
and I agree with all the PP, this child will probably make an appearance, wonder how much older he/she will be than Serena/Dan?

Also I'm wondering why they never explained how Bart Bass died. I had assumed it was a car accident but then they show the private investigator unharmed in this episode when we know he was in the limo with Bart. I wonder if they make some kind of storyline out of it sometime down the road, was it an accident or murder??? Or maybe I'm trying to create drama where this none.

so glad there's a thread on this i've been dying to talk about last night's episode!! omg it was sooo good!!
am i the only dork that assumed lily had an abortion?! i didn't even consider her giving the child up for adoption. when she confessed being admitted to a hospital in france i thought it was because of depression or something...never this!!
oh and can anyone give me a quick recap of what chuck's letter said to blair when she woke up? i was at a far distance from my TV and couldn't make out what the note said.
lastly - next episode not until the new year!??!?! or was i hallucinating!?

ooh good point! i thought it was a car crash too, i didn't even realize that the investigator wasn't injured...man it's smart to get together and chat about the episode! i feel totally clueless compared to the leads you girls are coming up with!

I think it wasnt an abortion bc he said "Is it a boy or a girl" not "Was it?" plus if it was an abortion I dont think someone would ask that.
next episode is in january, boo
and the note said something like: you deserve better, dont come look for me."

DH and i were thinking the same thing. So he gets the news about Lily's past from the PI, then dies.....so an accident, but they never explained what type of accident and how the PI survived it all!
We all know the writer's will follow this through for a few more episodes as they piece the clues together.
ETA: Can't wait for 1/5 to see what Chuck does - obviously he goes off the deep end with the drinking...

Yeah, i think she was sent to the hospital to live out the pregnancy and give the baby up for adoption. When did Lily and Bart meet? I wonder how old Lilly was when this happened?
I def think this child will be found, maybe by Rufus.
I felt horrible for Chuck, noone even cared about his fathers death like he did. so sad.
Ugh, no to Serena and Dan- I can't stand them keep trying, it's awkward and annoying.

he said was it a boy or a girl? i dont think he'd be asking that if she had an abortion but he would ask that if she gave the kid up for adotpion...

I could not believe the episode.. it was sooo goood!! So Serena and Dan share a half sis/bro.. I got the feeling if they do bring this person into the picture.. then Dan and Serena wont be getting back together.. just seems kinda icky if they did. Imagine this person saying my half bro and sis are having sex..

Great episode!
I really felt for chuck when he came to blair.
As far as Bart, I think maybe he "disappeared" instead of dying, cuz the PI being alive doesn;t explain what happened plus, its not like we got to see a body.
As for Lily/Rufus...wow, The baby thing is interesting, im sure this will be a key character come later this season.

see i took it even differently... when he asked was is a girl or boy, i thought the "baby" was either serena, or eric (because they were together a long time ago so i thought that was the huge secret)

I think Chuck is the best character and I total love the tension btwn him and blair.
I think Bart isnt dead at all. I think its all a scam. I think he just did this to see what lily does so soon after the funeral. (running away with rufus)
