Got a letter today...
I just got back from my honeymoon only to find out I've been excessed. My district apparently miscalcuated for next year and had to let go a bunch of teachers.
Anyone by chance know of any openings? I'm 5-12 Social Studies and 5-12 Special Ed.

My school just gave a Special Ed teacher a U this year and I think we have an opening...at least we did have an opening in June. I'm in Queens though - are you looking just for LI or the city as well?

I saw Manhasset had a SS w/ sped opening, but not sure if it's still open.

Thank you. I will look into that
I know they did have an opening (it's my district), but I believe they held the interviews already.
It's worth a shot to try though...they may not have found anyone yet.
