Got my pre-op info
The sheet says Hysteroscopy D+C... is that different than a regular D+C?

Dont quote me, but thats probably just the physical aparatus they use.

A hysteroscopy is a way for your doctor to look at the lining of your uterus. He or she uses a thin viewing tool called a hysteroscope. The tip of the hysteroscope is put into your vagina and gently moved through the cervix into the uterus. The hysteroscope has a light and camera hooked to it so your doctor can see the lining (endometrium) on a video screen.

I had a hysteroscopy at my RE's office a few months after the D&E. I wasn't getting pregnant and was concerned it had something to do with my uterus.. maybe scar tissue or something the f'ed up at the time of the procedure!!
Anyway.. a hysteroscopy is a little camera that goes into the uterus. They probably did that after the D&C to make sure they got everything.  That's my guess anyway.

Thanks ladies.... My sil told me the dr she works for does the hysteroscopy with every dnc... I just wonder why my dr didn't tell me on Tuesday I would be having one...

to be perfectly honest....I had a D&C and have NO IDEA if this was done along with it. So it seems they might not mention it at all.
If anything... just be glad they are being thorough with the D&C.
