Grace finished her first 5K yesterday with PICS
Ok, so it was only 30 yards but I made you look Hermosa Beach Education Foundation had a fun run for all ages so we entered my DD and niece. They came in dead last(let's just say most of those kids were NOT under two and their parents were so competitive for a baby race ) but they definately were the cutest
Gearing up
She started off running like a champ but she looked behind her and saw all the kids running behind her and freaked out. I felt so bad-she got so scared

The girls refused to take off their medals all day- here they are having some well deserved snacks

Seriously, your daughter is too cute. I just love her hair, it brings me back to my toddler days, my hair was just like that.

That is so great, Christine!!! How adorable!! I love it. What a fun thing to do. Grace looks perfect in her little track suit. She is gorgeous!!! Poor little thing, getting scared.  (I feel bad but that's kinda cute too.)

I never cry- at anything but I was practically sobbing at this event. She was so grown up and proud of herself at the end. The best part was screaming her name so she would stop crying

I was on the sidelines taking the pics but my DH and brother were shocked at the parents pushing and shoving to get their kids in the front. Plus there were a number of kids who ran in this 2 and under group who were easily 3 or above. The top five finishers get their picture taken on a podium and their names in the local paper so I guess that was why there was frenzy.

Meanwhile, my 4 year old took one look at the soccer field & started stomping "If I have to run, that will make me SWEAT!" I tried to convince her she would glisten but to no avail.

You are talking about my DD who walks into walls by accident so I don't know about "athletic"
