Gracie's 10 month well visit...
She grew an inch and gained 1.8 lbs. She is in the 60% for weight and 75% for height.
The ped also said that she is doing things that a 13-14 month old would do. So she is a little advanced. I brought up the food/ gagging thing again and they are not worried. She said to keep trying with new foods and on day she will not gag.
I asked about chiropractic care and the ped was all for it! So after the well visit Gracie and I went for our adjustments and cranialsacral body work Her runny nose cleared up an hour after her adjustment, so we will be going back. Hopefully, chiropractic & cranialsacral work will stop the twice a month colds and antibiotics for ear infections.
I cannot believe she was ten months old on Saturday.

You know, compared to all the other kids on this board, I did not think she was advanced.
All she says is mama, dada, and wave bye bye. However, her fine motor skills are advanced for her age.
Whatever, I am proud of her no matter what the ped says. I know she is perfect just the way she is. Although, I have to admit, it is nice to know she is a little ahead and right on track.

Well, if I do not vacuum the rug she will use her pointer finger and thumb to put up lint, look at it and flick it away from her crawling path. I think I have a Mrs. Clean on my hands! Plus she will pick up eggs off her plate with her pointer and thumb and put the eggs directly into her mouth. If you say where is your nose, eyes, mouth, etc.? She will put her hands on her nose, eyes, mouth. That kind of stuff.

Re: Gracie's 10 month well visit...
I'm intrigued by the chiropractic adjustments you mentioned. What are you having done to her? What prompted you to try that?

What are you having done to her? She gets an "infant" adjustment. It is soft touches and gentle manipulation.
What prompted you to try that? She was constantly getting sick and a friend tried chiropractic to treat her son's persistent ear infections. IT worked and he did not need tubes put in like her ped suggested. I guess I felt that she was getting sick all the time and this could only help. I figure it beats putting her on antibiotics once a month for ear infections/sinus infections. HTH

A place in Rockland County. The Chiro has a ton of experience with babies. I can FM you their info if you want me to, it may be far if you are on LI. Hey, she might know a chiro on LI that is good, I can ask her.
