I would. I did one for Andrew (he was 13/14 months old) last year. I didn't do any candy, but I filled it with plastic eggs and some small toys and a plush toy. He had fun with it.

Nay, Julia is 20 months and I feel she is too young to understand the whole easter bunny thing yet. She will get little gifts from my MIL, sister, and my mom.

Re: Easter baskets for the 12-18 month olds? Yay or Nay?
My son got something so far for each Easter.
1st Easter - 4 months old (almost) I put in some teething rings, a taggies blanket and a few other soft toys
2nd Easter - within the 12-18 month age (I don't remember when Easter was last year to tell you exactly how old he was) He got plastic eggs with cars in them, books, an drawing toy, gerber puffs as his treat and I think a DVD. I can't remember what else.
This year I'm still working on it!
I say, it's up to you! If you don't think she'll realize and you're not up for doing it, then don't. I like to get Michael things from the Easter bunny, my mother always did for us. Heck, at 1 week old Michael got gifts under the tree from Santa... that's just me!

I am getting a bucket with DD's name on it - she can keep it in her room. I have been picking up little things here and there to put in it.... So far I got her a soft Easter bunny ball, rubber duckies, and rubber froggies for the tub. Easter bunny ears... Just little fun things that she can play with.

I think we'll do a little something- no candy...Maybe just some little toys, Easter bib, etc... Just something fun for her to open. Oh, I have bunny ears for her too!

My DD just turned one...I am not doing one for her because she will probably get stuff from grandparents and aunts etc...however I am making up baskets for both of my nephews who are in the 12-24 month range. I bought baskets at Target and am filling them with candies, books, little toys.

Re: Easter baskets for the 12-18 month olds? Yay or Nay?
We did one last year and she was only 6 months old. I'm definitely doing one this year. For candy she'll only get 1-2 containers of the mini M&M's and I will ration them. She's a chocoholic already. I found her a small Ernie doll (she loves Ernie). I'll probably get her a DVD and some stuff from the $1 section at Target. Nothing too crazy but it will be fun to watch her take it apart.

Re: Easter baskets for the 12-18 month olds? Yay or Nay?
I say do it. I am filling Abby's up with little things I would already be buying for the summer and playtime. I got her sidewalk chalk, a bunny sippy cup, magnets for the fridge, a shovel and pail for outside. These are things I would be getting her for the summer anyway so I just put them all together in a basket.
She probably won't understand the whole concept and it is certainly not necessary but if you want to put on together go ahead.

I guess if you fill it with books, small toys etc.. it may be a cute idea.
I couldn't imagine giving a small child of 12-18 months candy. It could be a choking hazard and the sugar is not necessary.

Marron will be 3 weeks shy of 12 months when Easter comes. I am going to do a basket for her, but no candy in it. I like the idea of stuff from the $1 section at target and some little hand-held toys.

Re: Easter baskets for the 12-18 month olds? Yay or Nay?
Kevin gets an Easter basket every Easter - even when he was 2 months old.
Last year Kevin was 14 months and enjoyed Easter. We were just watching the video last night. We bought him a chocolate bunny (although he never got to eat it). Our Easter tradition is we buy him a new Disney video every Easter. So he got one Disney and a new Baby Einstein one. Also a stuffed little bunny. And then a couple of books. The fun part was we hid eggs and he actually searched for them. We got the clear plastic ones and hid them in very obvious places in our family room and he had fun finding them esp once he realized we had a puff or two inside each egg. As he gathered his eggs and put them in his basket all by himself. It was real cute.

I gave Hayley one last year but I didn't put candy in it. I gave her a spring pair of PJ's, a DVD, bubbles, sunglasses, puffs and probably some other stuff.
This year she is getting 2 small Backyardagin stuffed animals, packages of cookies, swimees for the pool, a princess nightgown and probably some small things.

I say yay. I see no reason not to, as long as you're not putting candy in there.

Claire gets an Easter basket every year. Last year she was about 17-18 months and had agreat time on Easter. In her basket we put bubbles, books, and a few other small toys. We also 'hid 'plastic eggs around the living room and each one had 1 mini m&m in it. She loved finding them!

Absolutely! I still have to order Lauren's - one to go with the one I got Andrew. I get them books, crayons, stickers, and other treats they like, such as fruit snacks and pretzels.

Marron will be just about 12 months old and I am doing a basket for her. I'm not putting in any candy, but I found some other stuff to fill it with. Of course, I could always put in some candy that she can share with Mommy!

I brought Michael a few things but I am not going to put them in a basket. I brought him some Easter books, a Little Einstein onesie & the Mickey Mouse Clubhouse DVD.
