Graco My Ride 65 convertible carseat
So I spoke to Chris who does the car seat inspections in Hicksville. My daughter has a Toyota Matrix and said this car seat is the only one other than the Britax line (Marathon or Blvd) that would fit properly in her car. Does anyone have the My Ride 65? how do you like it? My granddaughter is 3 mos old and will probably be in it in a few months. He also said it should be installed behind the passenger seat, not in the middle. Thanks.
Not sure if it is better on the passenger in all cars. He said in the Matrix it's better because the back seat splits and folds down and the split is not directly in the middle, but off to one side.

That's weird. We had a police officer from Garden City install ours and he said it needed to go in the middle, which is the safest because of side impact.

Re: Graco My Ride 65 convertible carseat
I have the my ride 65 and a Toyota Matrix (2005); it fits fine in the back seat. Its rear facing for now and sits nicely up against the front passenger seat.
We have no complaints. It stays in the car..very rarely do i take it out and put it in our 2nd car. I think i've done that once. Its comfy and goes up to 45lbs (i think) rear facing and 65lb forward facing.
ETA: we had ours installed by the fire dept in our township. they do it for free (Im in PA); and they said it should go behind the passenger seat.

Re: Graco My Ride 65 convertible carseat
I have the Graco MyRide and love it. The kids have been in that seat now for about 13 months now. I was told by the car seat guy this seat had to go behind the passenger seat in my Moms Santa Fe and in my car I have 2 in the 3 rd row and the other is behind passenger seat.

Re: Graco My Ride 65 convertible carseat
DS loves it, its a very comfy seat! We like it because it was the cheapest convertible car seat we found ... and the safety ratings are pretty good too.
We will always put the carseat on the passenger side, we live in busy urban area, and park on the street. I do not want to take DS out standing in the middle of the street.

Re: Graco My Ride 65 convertible carseat
I have this for my DS as well.. He loves it. I have mine on the passenger side of my Jeep... but that's only b/c when it was in the middle, short lil me couldn't see out the rear view. LOL.

Re: Graco My Ride 65 convertible carseat
We have it and love it. Ours is actually behind the drivers side.
It all depends on the type of car you have and what other car seats/etc you have in your car.
We have an infant seat behind the passenger and the graco my ride 65 behind the driver. It was never recommended to put any seat in our middle because of the configuration of the seat.
We also have a toyota.

Re: Graco My Ride 65 convertible carseat
we are going to get the graco for my in laws to have in their car.
as far as location in the car you have to go by the car's manual since every car is different. our whole family have nissans (altima, rogue and murano) and all of the manuals say it should go behind the passenger or driver and NOT in the middle. So it really depends on the car.
