Grad School Help
I need some help. You see I graduated from St. Joe's with my BA and now I hold B-6 Special ED and General Ed. licenses. Now, I want to get my MA, but I do not know what to get it in. I am teaching FIRST GRADE now, so I am trying to get a degree in something other then special ed. Thing is .. I am looking for weekends or practicum classes that I can do at the school I teach in now. HELP where can I go.. what can i do?

I got my Masters in Literacy through Dowling. They have an early childhood program and an upper grades program.
It was expensive and time consuming, but I am now certified to teach reading in addition to what I already teach.

You can do the stonybrook MALS program... you can even do the entire thing online.

I suggest doing something with literacy. If you are interested why don't you do administration???

Look into touro... the classes are through nyst. They have literacy.

I teach first too! I go to Touro with 3 other girls from my building. It is great and you can finish within a year or so. FM me if you need more info!

Stony Brook has some great Masters programs. A lot of my fellow teachers are going there for their Masters.

This is what I am doing now...I absolutely love it...its the best thing I did! I am actually getting a 2nd certification possible second masters
