Undergrad - Tom Wolfe - he sounded drunk
Grad - Christiane Amanpour and Ray Kelly - it was the first graduation after 9/11 and right in Washington Square Park so it was very emotional and powerful. Also, Neil Diamond performed. We had a sunny day and it was awesome, definitely worth attending.
I worked at this graduation! (alumni relations). It was amazing! What a great day.

mine for undergrad - we had some author (forgot his name) it made the cover of newsday the next day bc he just wrote a book and was pumping his book and all he did was knock the president (this was 2004) and spoke for 45 minutes (it was 90 degrees outside at hofstra) - and it was the first time they did ALL the undergrads together instead of indivudual college graduations like they used to.
the parents started booing him, the president had to interuupt the speaker to tell them to stop.
FH graduated from Hofstra grad and undergrad - he had brian dennehy (someone mentioned before) and Shumer both (and he gives the same speech all the time!)

ETA: My Fh had BONO as his graduation speaker. It was even on Best Week Ever! And I have some great close up shotrs of him in his cap and gown (they gave him an honorary degree)
I remember this speech!!!

Undergrad from Marist...Mr Rogers...for me this was like a dream come true...I watched his show with my mom when I was young. At graduation he played "It's a wonderful day in the neighborhood" OMG I was in tears...it was like life came full circle.
Grad School from CW Post...Then Att General Elliot Spitzer...I liked seeing him
I was at your graduation!!!!!!!!!!!!
My speaker was John Kerry, who in 2000, I had ZERO idea who he was

he showed up in a poorly fitted suit- with the legs not hemmed- it was kind of funny- considering that it was FIT
Calvin Klein was suppose to be there also- but he got stuck in Europe

Grad - I have no idea either. You could tell they really left a lasting impression on me!
During high school I attended the West Point Military Academy graduation of my cousin and got to see Bill Clinton! That was truly amazing!
