Grammar police.. please help!
"depending on" or "depending upon" ??
the sentence is..
".. may not be necessary depending [on / upon ] your exposure to .."

I'd use depending on...
But I would probably rewrite and say something like (fill in whatever the thing is)...
ESL courses may be unnecessary based on your exposure to and familiarity with spoken and written English.
