I think you add an "es" at the end in order to make it plural. The apostrophe would be for ownership.

I would just say Leylands. Most sites just say that when making it plural. 's is possessive.

That is correct. You aren't saying that the Leyland Cypress owns anything, so you wouldn't not use an apostrophe.
