Great Comfort Foods
I love a good chicken pot pie. I usually make a quick one with leftover chicken. What are some of your favorite comfort foods?

Baked macaroni and cheese - the good kind where the pasta still has a little bite and the sauce is a creamy, bubbly mix of really good cheeses like Gruyere and Wisconsin Cheddar mixed with some bacon or pancetta and topped with a crisp buttery bread crumb topping.
REAL southern fried chicken - the kind that is soaked in buttermilk and fried in Crisco. Served with fluffy mashed potatoes and pan gravy.
Crusty, fresh baked semolina dipped in lazy Sunday pasta sauce.
Whole roasted chicken with a crisp skin and juicy meat - served with sausage and sage stuffing and gravy.
Brownies fresh from the oven, topped with vanilla bean ice cream.
Warm apple crisp doused with thick farm fresh cream.
Grilled cheese - 2 slices of buttery white bread toasted in the pan until it's crisp and golden with creamy cheese melted between them, Served with cream of tomato soup.

Defnitely anything with gravy! Along side mashed potatoes, stuffing, and green bean casserole.
