Great Wolf Lodge vs. Woodloch

We are planning a kid-friendly weekend away in November. My parents want to take me and my brother away with our children. The kids will be 5 1/2, 2 1/2 and 21 months.

We are considering Great Wolf Lodge and Woodloch Pines. I don't really know much about either - I just hear all the time about families going there. Looking for any feedback on both places... or other ideas too!

Which do you like better? Why?

TIA!

Re: Great Wolf Lodge vs. Woodloch

I have never been to GWL, but we went to Woodloch last year. I know if it were me, I would have no interest even trying GWL and would stick with Woodloch. I think there is just a ton to offer to families. The ages of your kids is better suited for Woodloch. No, there is no water park. But there's a really nice indoor pool with a cute kids area. There is an indoor playground, go carts, bumper cars, and games and events going on all day and night. We rented a house with friends and didn't do the dining plan, but everything looked really good when we would walk through the dining hall. There are shows every night- though I believe the Saturday night show is adults only. I just think there's fun to be had by all ages, whereas GWL would be really for the kids and not much to do/entertain the adults.

Never been to Woodloch, but there is a HUGE price difference in the two. We love Great Wolf Lodge though. Very fun!

Re: Great Wolf Lodge vs. Woodloch

I've never been to Woodloch but it is on the top of my to go list.

We have been to Great Wolf and it is fine but nothing special, just an indoor water park. We will probably not go back.

There is also a huge price difference. I think woodloch costs about 3x as much as great worlf.

Great Wolf Lodge vs. Woodloch

We were just up in the area last week and stopped by Woodloch. It's beautiful! and looks like so much fun. DH went there a lot as a kid and worked there in the summer months (they had a ski/summer house) nearby and he said it was so much fun.

It is super $$ though...
