Great Wolf or Kalahari?
We've never been to either places. Which is better and why?
We have 3 boys: ages 8, almost 5 and 2. So we would definitely need one of the bigger rooms/suites.
Thanks!

Re: Great Wolf or Kalahari?
I've only been to Kalahari but I've been told by people who have gone to both that Kalahari is much better and bigger. We had a great time at Kalahari, it wasn't very busy when we went so we had the place practically to ourselves. The food was decent and the rooms are REALLY big. Kind of sparse but a good size. They have nice toddler area in the waterpark, my DS had a blast!!
ETA - My kids were 3 and 7 when we went.

Re: Great Wolf or Kalahari?
Only been to Kalahari. I loved it. It's brand new, clean, and the water park is amazing. Great for kids- even little little ones. Your 2 year old will love the kid area - lots of slides for their size. So much fun.
And great for adults too- I had so much fun on some of the slides.
Loved the swim up and other bars in the water park area.
I'm not sure why but I get skeeved by Great Wolf. Too many reports of bed bugs and the rooms just seem a little skanky and run down for me.

Re: Great Wolf or Kalahari?
I have been to great wolf 2 times going to Kalahari for the first time this year. I hear Kalahari is better but if money is a factor I would just go which whatever one is cheaper IMO your kids will enjoy both.
When we go we get group rates this year the group decided to try Kalahari

It's honestly only about $125 difference between the 2 places. I'm okay with spending the extra $$.

Check Groupon, they are always running deals on them both. Also, check Kalahari's site, I ended up getting a great deal through them (they run vacation specials) and it came out cheaper than my Groupon deal.

Yes they are on Groupon right now And I was willing to pay more as well. To me, it's worth it. We don't go away all that often.

I've never been to either but by what I've read about both I would do kalahari. There have been a lot of people mentioning bedbugs at great wolf.

the one on groupon right now is only for a standard room and we need a bigger one.
I did go to Kalahari's website and they have a family 2 night getaway special.

Re: Great Wolf or Kalahari?
We've been to both and like Kalahari better. It is brand new and bigger. Food is also better. Actually thought Kalahari had decent food options. I remember the food at Great Wolf to be terrible. Great Wolf does have the magic wands. We went a few years ago and my kids were too young but I know my kids would love those now.

Re: Great Wolf or Kalahari?
We just went to Kalahari overnight and everyone had a great time. Never been to Great Wolf so can't compare. We got there around 10am were able to check in early did waterpark all day and then next day we used waterpark from opening at 9 to 1030 for 11 checkout. There was practically nobody in the park at 9am and everyone did all slides several times. Felt like we got to enjoy everything sufficiently with the 1 night.

We plan to do this in the Fall. We will go up on Saturday morning, use the park all day, then on Sunday you can use the park the whole day after you check out if you want. So we'll get 2 full days of water park over just a weekend one night stay.

Re: Great Wolf or Kalahari?
I've been to both. They are both a lot of fun. kalahari is newer so the finishes look better because it is new. If you can get the groupon with the $50 arcade credit I would go with that purely because of the cost. The food is better at kalahari.

We had the Desert Room which is their standard room, it was A HUGE room. It had a ton of empty space, way more space then we needed with 2 kids.
