Greek girls - Greek food shopping question...or if your not Greek and know...
Are there any Greek (food) stores in Suffolk? I know of one in Hicksville, and I don't feel like going to Astoria (unless I have too).

I'm not Greek, but I'm married to one...I know of a Greek store in Port Jeff, on 112. You can always find some Greek stuff around the Greek church, or in the vacinity.

There's a Turkish place on 112 just south of the LIE. It's like a market/luncheonette.
Granted it's mainly Turkish, but they do have some Greek foods too.
Is there something specific you're looking for?
ETA: I *just* remembered there's also a Greek market/luncheonette in Shirley on Montauk Hwy. It's called Mediterranean Kitchen.

No the place I was talking about is called the Angora Grill. (I just asked the co-worker who introduced me to the place!)
The pita house is further down 112 I think more towards Sunrise Hwy.

I live right by Pita House - so I know where that market is. They don't really have what I am looking for.
I'm having Easter so I was looking for good feta and olives, kaserri and domathes. I know I will probably end up in Astoria.
Now, which store in Astoria?

In Astoria, I prefer Titan Foods located on 31st Street. I also like Mediterranean Foods located on 34th St.

you can also get a lot of mandatory greek items (fresh imported feta, pita, grape leaves, several brands of yogurt, fresh imported olives....) at fairway supermarket in plainview.... They probably wouldn't have the more specific/unusual items (like sodas, toiletries....)

Titan is wonderful, but you can definitely get all of that stuff @ Bakaliko on North Broadway in Hicksville!
Wonderful family owned place, and the food is always great and fresh there!
