Greys Anatomy
Last nights episode was so powerful. I cried so much and felt so much pain for that woman who Jo was treating. I sat there feeling pain for her and all of the Women who had to endure that type of brutal attack in their lives. And then as I watched all the women lined up in the halls for her as they brought her into surgery, I thought how many of those women have been raped IRL? Heartbreaking. Definitely a powerful episode

such a great episode!! i definitely cried a few times. i hope Jo opens up to Alex and this doesn't ruin them. Alex will definitely put up with a lot of crap. but to find out you're the result of a rape. that's rough.

I love this show still. I look forward to every Thursday when its on. This was such a powerful episode. When Joe asked her mom if she looked like him and especially when all the women stood outside in the hallway when they wheeled the woman to surgery, I cried. I honestly thought it was the husband that beat up the woman and then as the show went on and they truth of what happened came out it all made sense.
I hope that Joe tells Alex soon and that it is not kept from him. It was a nice break from the Ameilia, Teddy usual storyline.

Felt like the old Grey's. It was such an INCREDIBLE episode, they did an amazing job with the content matter. I really loved it, every minute of it.

The episode was so moving. Fantastic. Unrelated, but can I say that I HATE Meredith with that boy, whatever his name is. He is so whiny and so not her level. I am annoyed that with all the other options she had in the past, this is the one they put her with.

Really??? I LOVE her with him. He reminds me (physically) of Derrick and I like how the roles are reversed. I feel like they have a lot of chemistry. The Italian helps

I'm just going to say it, on a purely physical level I think Grey is looking so haggard and old these days I kind of don't see DeLucca really being interested in her being that he's a young, cute doctor.

She does look worn out, I was watching her last week and her face just looks tired. Im wondering what the cliff hanger will be for the end of the season and if it will have to do with the baby. I do like Teddy with the brain surgeon guy Tom.

And Im sure if we saw most 49 yr old women 1st thing in the morning or right before bed we would be shocked at how differently they look from their daytime look.

I mean this post was about the show. The storylines. And somehow it got detoured to looks. Appearances. Typical. But sad.
Getting back to the show itself. I feel this has been one of the better seasons in a long time. I stopped watching for a while because I was so tired of the sadness all.the.time. I like that every episode isnt so depressing anymore. Really enjoying it this season.

You're right. I would make the the same comment if a 49 year old man wasn't aging well either. It's an observation of a person who has made their career in the public spotlight. If everyone on here was saying they can't watch another episode because of her hideous wrinkles and she now stinks at her profession because of them - totally. But come on. I do understand what you are saying, just wanted to make you see what I am saying
And yes.. this season has been so much better. I love all the story lines. Well, minus Amelia. And I think that's because I am still tainted from her character on Private Practice. She annoyed my entire soul on that show (up until he pregnancy) so she kinda annoys me on GA.
I love Jackson and Maggie together, couldn't wait for it. I think Alex and Jo are perfect for each other and she will eventually open up. They have a great understanding because of their hard upbringing that I think will get them through this and anything else coming their way.
is April gone for good? And where is Harriett?

I do believe April is gone for good. I liked her quirkiness.
As for Amelia she is my least favorite! Never cared for her. Her acting annoys me to my soul..
After seeing tonights episode I wonder where Jo is going to go from here. I love her and Alex together. I hope she pulls through without if impacting their marriage.

I agree as well. I think if anything Grey is the whiny one. They try to make her character seem so tough but she is always with an issue and looking for her friends to comfort her whiny ass.
I rather see DeLuca with someone else. I wanted him with Jo at first but after Karev beat him up; I realized she is a mini Grey asshole.

The point is she isn't a good match for the actor who plays Deluca. She is older and he is a young actor who probably looks younger because he has a baby face. They are trying to play it off like it is the same as Deluca with her sister.
I think Grey looks her age and looks great. But I really believe the writers think she looks younger than she does. The story is odd.

It's okay to think someone, man OR woman, isn't aging well. I agree, good on her for not filling her face full of crap but when it comes to a storyline where they have her character with a VERY young looking man I think it doesn't play right in the show. She looks old, especially for her age, and quite frankly, I just don't see a young, pompous doctor in the hospital being into her.
Looks aside, I also don't even see their personalities as a match. They always seem weird and awkward together and I find that their interactions come across as forced which is the complete opposite of the how I felt about her and McDreamy, they had chemistry and were a better fit.
Not a fan of the current storyline.

Agreed! FTR, I think Ellen Pompeo looks great but Deluca is very young, handsome and kicking off his career. Its just not believable to me that a young guy like that would want to involve himself with her, especially with all of her kids. Maybe because I'm her age with 3 kids and I could not imagine a hot guy like that wanting anything to do with me and my crazy life whatsoever. LOL
But, I can't stand them together. I want Teddy and Owen to get together.
I want Jo to stop being such damaged goods. Pull it together.
