Oh my gosh, what a finale!!! So hot in many ways!!  Definitely think some thing is going to happen to Derek to make things kinda crazy for him and Grey...why would they make it simple? Definitely think Alex and Izzie should be together...Hahn and Caillie...yikes but I saw that one coming!! Definitely is going to make an interesting next season!! When does it return again?  I love this show...

Great finale!
I too think that something is going to happen to Derek though..it cant just be "that easy."
As for Alex...hes always been my fave..HOTTIE!!!!!! I wanted to grab him through the screen and hold him forever!!!!!!!!!!! I was bawling when he was crying.
Sidenote..that girl who survived the brain surgery...is she the little girl who used to be in full house as one of Michelles friends? Crazy, wild hair..I think that was her!

Can someone please explain in a little more detail exactly what happened at the end??? For some reason my DVR cut out right after the girl said that Jeremy would be so mad if she did not have the surgery. I AM SO MAD RIGHT NOW!!!
Please please please someone fill me in on all the hot and gory details.

I'm not diggin the Hahn/Callie thing. First of all, I thought it was great when Callie slept with McSteamy and how she wasn't his typical conquest. But if they want to make her go the lesbian/bi route, give her someone NICE!!! Hahn is so friggin nasty!  I love that the chief told her off!

LOVED that finale! Lots of hot hooks ups! Although I'm not sure if I'm digging the callie and hahn thing...
So happy the derek and merideth are back...although I agree with op that something might happen to derek...I hope not, but they can't make it that easy.

I LOVED IT!!!!
Someone turned me onto this website...every week, after the show airs, the writer of that show blogs about the episode. It's cool to read about how the episode was created.
This week, the head writer/creator of the show, Shonda Rimes, blogged and said she actually wrote the Derek and Meredith ending at the end of last season...she knew she wanted them back together.

Wow. If they had just left out the part where Derek leaves to tell Rose, they could have ended the whole series right there.
I think Derek won't be in an accident, but that Rose will be pg.

So who thinks they know how next season will end? Derek and Meredith will fight, break up and have some hot steamy kiss and makeup at the end.  Other than that it was pretty good.

For sure something happens with Derek, either something with Rose, or an accident, or something with Meredith being alone in his hideaway...just something.
There is def. more with the girl and the tumor. So sad when the boy didn't make it.

Ok, it was a good episode, and I was SO HAPPY that Meredith & McDreamy might finally get together, but all I could think of was, ok, he needs to tell Rose, and now he's gonna get hit by a truck on his way.  Enough already. Just get them together.
As for the rest of it, I think it ended just as it should have, but the Callie/Hahn thing weirded me out a little...NOT that there's anything wrong with that!  Callie just never struck me as that way - being head over heels for George and all...not that I got that either.

DH and I were wracking our heads over this and DH finally figured it out. He was the son of Dominic Purcell's character (Scofield's brother - the one that was originally imprisoned that he was trying to save - his son on the show.
Of course, this kid could have been in other things too!

When did meredith go out and buy ohhhh what, 100 hurricane lamps and candles?? And how did she transport all these to his home? that was very very far fetched to me...
Other than that, love that show...

My problem is that here's Derek who's obviously been pinning away for Meredith all this time and she finally has a breakthrough and opens up, decides that he just HAS to leave her standing there like an idiot to go talk to Rose. If I had just poured my heart out to some guy and he said he hadda go and chat with his rebound chick, I wouldnt be there when he got back.

That's what I said to DH. And I think that Derek is going to get into an accident on his way to talk to Rose. So then he won't return and she'll just be there waiting and waiting for him.
I was so happy to get more insight into Alex. I think he and Izzie should be together.

it was very good for a finale, am excited to see what they do in Sept. I just watched it last night but did anyone else notice that in the first hour there is a car commercial and the guy is sitting in the back seat and he's encased in concrete? Just thought that was interesting
