Re: Grilled Cheese
Mayo Butter all the way. I pan-fry each side of the bread in butter than add the cheese to make a sandwich, then pan fry the outside until its golden brown and the cheese is melted. And I love swiss cheese too!

Re: Grilled Cheese
Hey, don't knock it if you haven't tried it
Honestly, there's no "mayo flavor" b/c I honestly don't like mayo...butter just isn't as good (after having tried both).

Re: Grilled Cheese
I always use butter...
BUT mayo is basically made from oil. If you put oil in a blender on high speed it will eventually turn to mayo... So I don't think it would be too gross...

Re: Grilled Cheese
I always made it with butter. I was over a neighbor's house once and had the best grilled cheese ever. That was the first time I heard of the mayo thing. I haven't done it myself, but it was sooo good.

I totally believe that you don't taste the mayo....definately gonna try it. I made eggplant that called for a thin layer of mayo on each side before dipping in breadcrumb mix. They came out so good and you would never know that there was mayo in it
