Grooming Questions

Can you tell me at about what week it became extremely difficult for you to groom yourself? As in groom the girly area? I want to make sure I am mentally prepared for my last time..read: I want to make sure I do an extra special job.

Re: Grooming Questions

i am in my 25th week and just had DH cut my toenails (or as he likes to call them, my claws). putting on socks on a daily basis is a little annoying, but i can still manage. i have given up on the girlie area for now... Chat Icon

Re: Grooming Questions

Around 28 weeks or so, grooming the girly area started to involve sitting on the edge of the tub and using a mirror.

I'm 36 weeks now and decided last week that it's too much trouble, so I've retired the mirror and have given up on that area Chat Icon

Re: Grooming Questions

Um...hum its been a while. Maybe 23 weeks. I'm 29 now and its a cruel joke. I just feel and go slow and pray I get most of it when I shave LOL! Then, just about every time I get out of the shower and look in the mirror and sure enough I've missed yet another spot. Oh well! LOL

I just cut my toenails and painted them this week but it took a long time and was pretty difficult.

Re: Grooming Questions

Can I ask you guys, are you not allowed to get waxed during your pregnancy or have a pedicure? TIA

Re: Grooming Questions

I have been getting pedicures whenever I need to have them. I can't be bothered cutting my nails, as it is I have a hard time putting socks and shoes on.
As for the "area", I try to get what I can...but it is VERY difficult.

I see no reason why can cannot wax or have a pedicure. I just stopped waxing (went to shaving) that area cause I couldn't see it anymore Chat Icon

Re: Grooming Questions

I am in my 26th week - and I couldn't tell ya the last time that I can see down there. I shave and pray for the best - then usually I will ask DH if I have missed anything. Like MrsJ said, it just a touch and feel thing. I think I am going to start getting waxed soon.

Re: Grooming Questions

I'd say in the early 30's it bacame hard for me to see and to bend over but I STILL did it.....maybe it wasn't the best job, but I can't stand not being trimmed

I'm 32 weeks and shaving my legs is getting more difficult. I have always gotten bikini waxes and my nails and toes done at a salon.

Re: Grooming Questions

Same here - 25 weeks before I was really going at it blind & it became a bad idea. I considered going for a bikini wax but everything just felt so tender - I didn't think I'd need the extra hot wax feeling.

I was never so glad to have my razor the day I gave birth.
