Gross vs Net Pay...Is there a formula?

Is there a formula to use to figure out how much your take home pay will be?

TIA!

You could google a paycheck calculator that will give you a decent estimate of net pay based on data your provide (gross pay, dependents, etc.)

No set formula b/c everyone is different. We are in different tax brackets, have different exemptions, and pay different amounts for healthcare, 401(k) contributions, etc. Some paycheck calculators are helpful, but if you don't have all the above information, it won't help you much.

There's not really a formula because everyone's tax brackets, deductions, etc. are different, but you can use -30% to get a general idea.

Check out this calculator. It allows you to input what county you live in and will ask you a few questions. Almost 100% accurate. It allows you to mess with your withholdings as well.
