Ground Chicken

It was on sale last week, so I got it Chat Icon and now I don't know what to do with it?

I have to cook for DS and he doesn't like sauce. Plain chicken burgers don't interest me.

TIA!!!

same here, I don't even like ground beef tacos anymore.. I'll only use ground chicken or turkey.

I still use the taco seasoning that's made for beef tacos though.. the reduced sodium one

Re: Ground Chicken

I use it to make chili and tacos. I also use it to make dan dan noodles. So good! here is the recipe:

Noodles
1 teaspoon oil
1/4 ounce green onion, minced
1/2 teaspoon garlic, minced
1/2 teaspoon chili paste
3/4 pound ground chicken, cooked
8 ounces egg noodles, cooked
cornstarch

Liquid Mixture
2 ounces soy sauce
1 ounce cooking wine
1 teaspoon oyster sauce
1 teaspoon sugar
7 ounces chicken stock

1 Heat wok or large skillet, add 1 tsp oil and sear the chili paste, garlic and green onion for 5 seconds, using caution to avoid inhaling the direct fumes.
2 Add cooked ground chicken, tossing and stirring for 10 seconds. Add all the liquid ingredients and simmer for 20 seconds.
3 Add a "slurry," equal parts of cornstarch and water mixed together (a tsp or 2 of each) to thicken the sauce. Consistency should be thick enough to stand on top of the noodles.
4 Pour sauce over a serving plate of hot cooked noodles. Garnish with bean sprouts and julienned cucumbers.

Just noticed this is for your son who doesn't like sauce. but if you ever have extra chicken and want to make it for you, the above recipe is really good!

Definitely agree with Chicken Tacos! Chicken or turkey tacos are a staple in my house. You could do baby burgers and buy the small buns.. They always taste better when they r cute haha

Re: Ground Chicken

i always use ground chicken over ground beef for tacos or sloppy joe's or things like that...BUT for my meatballs, i need to use the beef/veal/pork combo, or else it's just not the same
